DAY 1: PHNOM PENH – ARRIVAL

After touching down in Cambodia’s capital, take a city tour by cyclo to learn about the country’s history and culture. Visit the historic displays at the National Museum and the glittering buildings of the Royal Palace before heading to Wat Phnom for sunset views of the city. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

DAY 2: PHNOM PENH – SIEM REAP (B)

A short flight today takes you to Siem Reap, the home of the Temples of Angkor. Begin this morning at Angkor Wat whose endless hallways of carvings and looming towers are sure to leave you awestruck. Continue to the Angkor Thom area and discover an ancient city of incredible proportions- perfectly planned and filled with impressive temples. Overnight in Siem Reap.

DAY 3: SIEM REAP (B)

Set off this morning for a temple tour where your guide will introduce you to the great Khmer civilization of the 9-14th centuries as you visit ruins such as Preah Khan and Ta Phrom. Overnight in Siem Reap.

 

DAY 4: SIEM REAP – HO CHI MINH CITY (B)

Enjoy a morning at your leisure- to visit more temples, enjoy a boat ride on the Tonle Sap Lake or relax in a chic town-center café. Fly to Vietnam and the dynamic southern city of Ho Chi Minh City. Also referred to as Saigon, this exciting city is a great place to begin your Vietnam journey. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 5: HO CHI MINH CITY (B)

Scratch the surface of Ho Chi Minh City with a full day tour of the cultural sites and hidden gems. This morning takes you to Chinatown and Ben Thanh Market, dynamic energetic sides of the city. After lunch delve in to the history of the country with visits to the War Remnants Museum, Presidential Palace and buildings of old colonial Saigon. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 6: HO CHI MINH CITY – MEKONG DELTA – HO CHI MINH CITY (B,L)

Leave the city behind for a day trip to the Mekong Delta. Discover the most fertile region of Vietnam as you take boat journeys through some of the Delta’s thousands of waterways, venturing to coconut plantations and local villages. After a horse cart ride through quiet rural laneways, return to Ho Chi Minh City for the evening. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 7: HO CHI MINH CITY – DANANG – HOI AN (B)

This morning fly to the central Vietnamese town of Danang and continue by road to Hoi An. A walking tour introduces you to the rich blend of cultures that influence modern Hoi An’s architecture and culture. Overnight in Hoi An.

DAY 8: HOI AN – HUE (B)

Travel north along the scenic coast and over Hai Van Pass to Hue, the former imperial capital. Stop en route at the Cham Museum in Danang. This afternoon a guided tour takes to the Imperial Citadel where the influence and power of the once-mighty Nguyen dynasty is revealed, followed by a cyclo ride through the leafy side streets of Hue. Overnight in Hue.

DAY 9: HUE – HANOI (B)

Start your day with a visit to the city’s vibrant Dong Ba Market to see it’s abundance of fresh produce before jumping on a cyclo for a tour of the old city. Spend the afternoon exploring the tombs of the former Vietnemese Emperors Minh Mang and Khai Dinh, and the surrounding settings. Transfer to Hue airport for your flight to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 10: HANOI (B)

Today’s tour of Hanoi provides an in-depth look in to the history and culture of the city. Visit the house and mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh, the country’s oldest university- the Temple of Literature- and the lakeside Tran Quoc Pagoda. A walking tour though the city’s Old Quarter is an invigorating way to explore the dozens of small streets and lively shopfronts in this area before ending this afternoon at one of the dozens of museums in the area. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 11: HANOI – HALONG BAY (B,L,D)

Journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta to Halong Bay. Board a traditional wooden junk or The Emeraude, a steamship replica, for an overnight cruise. As the boat weaves its way past limestone karsts and turquoise waters, enjoy feasting on freshly-caught seafood and stop to swim, kayak or explore hidden caves. Overnight onboard in Halong Bay.

DAY 12: HALONG BAY – HANOI – DEPARTURE (B,L)

Enjoy brunch on board as the boat weaves its way back to the harbor and continue by road back to Hanoi. Depending on your flight time, there is an option to stop at a small village for a traditional performance of water puppetry. Upon reaching Hanoi, this afternoon is free for last minute shopping or sightseeing before transferring to the airport for your onward flight.

ITINERARY

DAY 1: On arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport

On arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

 

 

DAY 2: Visit the morning Cai Be colourful floating market

07.30: Our Tour Guide & Driver pick you up at your place in Saigon, then take an excursion to Caibe, one of quiet towns in Mekong Delta area. 09.30: Arrive to Caibe, embarking on our luxury Mekong sampan with fresh cotton towels to visit the morning Cai Be colourful floating market cruising among local barges full of fruits and vegetables. Then, an optional stop can be made at local workshops where you can see rices paste, coconut candy and pop-rice, po-corn made. A delicious lunch will be served at an ancient house over 170 years old or under the shade of local orchards on the An Binh Island. After lunch, the rowing boat will take you deeper into the countryside on smaller canals and to enjoy the peaceful time. It is so interesting to see traditional houses made of wood and palm tree leaves and see some activities of the local farmers with an apportunity to make contacts with them and see how they catch fish or pick up fruits by ancestral ways in Mekong Delta. One more stop can be made at the nursery garden where you can learn how to have some high quality fruit trees. This is the best choice for you to contact the real famous farmers – Mr Tiger & his son who are very sucessful in Vietnam agriculture. We will enjoy some kinds of fruits from his garden & home made rice wine when listening to the traditional music. The cruise will end at around 14.30pm at Vinh Long town. Then get on vehicle to continuing your trip to Chau Doc, one of quiet cities in Mekong Delta area. Check-in the hotel on arrival. Having DINNER at restaurant. O/N at hotel in Chaudoc.

DAY 3: Visit Tra Su Cajeput Forest in Tinh Bien district

Breakfast at hotel. Then transfer to visit Tra Su Cajeput Forest in Tinh Bien district, located 15km northeast of the Mekong Riverand 10km northwest of the Cambodia border. We will take a sampan “vo lai” to small canals to visit the forest, you have chance to see many kinds of water birds (mostly stocks), colonies of bads and various rare animal and bird species. Endowed with peace and tranquility, Tra Su forest will certainly become a unique and attractive destination for the tourists who love the beauty of nature. Finish trip, then continue your journey to Cantho city. Stop-over for visiting the Binh Thuy ancient house in Cantho. Check-in the hotel on late afternoon. Take a rest until enjoy dinner at charming restaurant. O/N in Cantho.

DAY 4: Visit the famous floating market Cai Rang

Breakfast at hotel. Then transfer to the pier for taking the boat ride on Mekong River which is the longest and most prosperous in Asia, visit the famous floating market Cai Rang, where you can see the daily life and local people selling their products on boats. Then cruising to small canels to visit one of the local family and their orchard, taste tropical fruits, green tea. Finish trip and get on vehicle for returning to Saigon. Having lunch in Mytho province. After then continue route to Saigon. Drop off in Saigon.

DAY 5: Visit to, Pre Roup, Neak Phean and Preah Khan.

A good opportunity to do some last minute shopping before your transfer to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for your ongoing flight to Siem Reap Upon arrival, meets and transfers to hotel for check in (Early check-in is NOT included and subject to hotel’s availability). Visit the ancient Khmer civilization site of Hariharalaya which flourished in the late 9th and earlier 10th centuries. These are the earliest temples in the Angkor area and are referred to the Rolous group (Lo Lei, Preah Koh, and Bakhong Temples), and afternoon visit to, Pre Roup, Neak Phean and Preah Khan. DAY 6: Visit the picturesque Ta Prohm

Early morning, visit the picturesque Ta Prohm that had nearly disappeared into the jungle and remains overgrown, an oddly haunting and exotic scene. The magnificent roots of a tree, pushing between the huge stone blocks of the temple in a sort of embrace, evoke feelings that you may remember forever. And continue to visit the intricately carved Khmer ruins at Angkor Wat – one of the world’s most impressive ruins. The temple still owns fine Apsara carvings in Angkorian era art.. At 09am come back to hotel for breakfast and rest in the noon to avoid of the heats of the day until 15:00 continue exploring the mysterious Royal city Angkor Thom. Its 50-tower temple is an awesome sight. At first glance it seems a shapeless mass of stone, but further scrutiny reveals a face, and then another and another until suddenly you are engulfed by the silent, heavy, enigmatic and silent gaze through half-closed eyes, staring out from a primitive and remote time. Further, visit to the surroundings of the complex including the Baphou, Elephant Terraces, Lepper King Terrace and Royal Place area.

DAY 7: Enjoy a drive to the rural outskirt 35km from Angkor area to visit the smallest

Breakfast at hotel, 6:30 enjoy a drive to the rural outskirt 35km from Angkor area to visit the smallest, but magnificent, Banteay Srei built in the 10th Century and dedicated to Shiva. The temple was the birthplace of Khmer classical style architecture and the bas-relief work is the best example of Khmer classical art remaining. The pink sandstone structure bears a series of striking and beautiful sculptures, lintels, pediments and friezes. Khmers say the temple must have been carved by women for the details are too fine for the hands of a man. On the way back we visit to Banteay Samre temple and have a lunch local restaurant near Siem Reap town. Afternoon we embark on a short cruise on Tonle Sap Lake, Cambodia’s biggest natural water body (If time permits). The experience is wonderful as we pass by floating village, friendly children in small boats and fishermen at work. And then transfer to airport for flight to Phnom Penh. Upon arrival at Phnom Penh meet our guide and transfer to hotel for check in.

DAY 8: Visit Toul Sleng Museum

After breakfast at the hotel, set out on a city tour to visit the National Museum where houses Khmer art, especially sculptures from different periods of Cambodian history; Royal Place built in 1866 by King Norodom; Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5,000 silver tiles and located within the Royal Palace compound, and visit Toul Sleng Museum, a reminder of the Khmer Rouge regime and then transfer to airport for departure.

DAY 1: Visit the family where you can experience the agricultural lifestyle.

After escaping from Ho Chi Minh City’s urban sprawl, you’ll travel to My Tho. There, you’ll cruise on the Mekong through the Bao Dinh natural canal, view the stilt houses and the fruit plantation along the river sides. Proceed to the Tortoise island. Lunch served in the heart of the orchard. Enjoy the nice boat ride through the Tan Thach natural canal in Ben Tre, cruise under the shadow of the water coconut trees. Visit the family where you can experience the agricultural lifestyle. Trekking through the fruit plantation in Thoi Son island, enjoy the rowing boat ride along the creeks before returning to My Tho by motorized boat. Then transfer to Can Tho. Arrive in Can Tho, free time

DAY 2: Start our trip along the endless waterway of Mighty Mekong River to the Cai Rang

Fresh air and the country sounds of the Delta coming to life for another day, we breakfast and start our trip with a boat cruise along the endless waterway of Mighty Mekong River to the Cai Rang biggest floating markets in the Mekong Delta. And then transfer to Chau Doc. Arrive in Chau Doc, check in hotel and then free time

DAY 3: Visit to Wat Phnom

ITINERARY

DAY 1: Visit beautiful limestone grotto

Welcome on board of Halong Ginger and set sail through bay while lunch is serverd. Please into the magical bay, where thousands of sculpted limestone inslands rise from the waves like dragons’teeth. Opportunity to visit beautiful limestone grotto, go swimming or sunbathing. Enjoy cocktails while watching sunset and later unwind at Ginger restaurant. If weather permits a short night cruise could bring you a nice discovery of the sea life by night.

DAY 2: Visiting water tunnels

After breakfast, transfer to your day – trip boat with private crew and cruise to the bay’s most untoached area. Enjoy swimming on quite beaches, visiting water tunnels, fishing villages or kayaking. Lunch served on board by your private chef. Return to the mother boat for the night.

DAY 3: A short trek to a nearby summit

Greet the day with a morning Tai Chi exercise with an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay. After breakfast, a short trek to a nearby summit. Return on board for a final glimpse of the Halong Bay while cruising back to the dock

ITINERARY

DAY 1: Visit the village by kayak or small boat

Noon: Check-in at Bhaya Café, Halong City. Embark on Bhaya Legend and enjoy a welcome cocktail while slowly sailing to Bai Tu Long, passing the setting for the movie Indochine, Mat Quy and Am Tich Islets. Savor a delicious fresh seafood lunch on-board. Bhaya Legend moves on into Vung Vieng fishing village, nestled among the limestone peaks, unaffected by ocean waves or strong winds. Visit the village by kayak or small rowing boat to see the daily lives of locals up close. Swim; kayak the turquoise waters off the pristine white sandy beaches. Watch the sunset over enchanting Halong Bay while cruising to the overnight the anchorage. Candlelit set-dinner onboard, retire to your cabin or join the fishing program.

DAY 2: Discover Ho Ba Ham Islet

Enjoy the sunrise, the lapping waves, the fresh sea air, the gentle breeze or get up at your leisure. A hot breakfast is available on request. Depending on the weather, Bhaya Spirit will cruise one of the following routes: Bhaya Legend heads to Lan Ha Bay and Three Peach Beach for swimming, kayaking & snorkeling on a pristine, private beach. Fresh seafood lunch is served aboard. Continue on to discover Ho Ba Ham Islet, the most remote point in Lan Ha Bay and bordering the Gulf of Tonkin. Visit the quaint fishing village and lagoon. Possibility of kayaking through an amazing tunnel under a karst mountain (time & tide permitting). The vessel then cruises to an overnight anchorage. Set-dinner when you want and overnight aboard.

DAY 3: Sightseeing at Sung Sot Grotto

The crew will ready the vessel to sail to a destination of your choice. Choices include: sightseeing at Sung Sot Grotto; hiking up Titop Mountain; kayaking lagoon or swimming on a deserted beach. Breakfast is served onboard. Bhaya Legend returns to Halong city at 11 am. End of services.

Meet the captain and crew and join us for a welcome cocktail as we tell you about life onboard. Check into your cabin. Time to refresh and unwind. Set sail as lunch is prepared by our chef. Afternoon While we make our way to Bai Tu Long Bay, relax on the sundeck and watch the world go by or take an afternoon nap in your cabin. DAY 2: Take an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay or have an early morning swim

06:30 For the early risers join us for a Tai Chi session on the sun deck. Tai chi helps focus the mind and condition the body and there is no better environment to practice this than amongst the limestone peaks and islands. Take an opportunity to view the sunrise over the bay or have an early morning swim. Breakfast, coffee or tea is served. After breakfast transfer from The Paloma to a smaller boat which will take you to one of the more remote and secluded parts of the Lan Ha Bay waters and islands. Our guide will take you on a kayaking tour of the waters. There is no better way to discover the lagoons, the coral reef, beaches and limestone peaks. Or sunbathe on one of the secluded beaches, go swimming. During the morning our chef and crew prepare a special BBQ lunch on the private beach (depends on the weather). After lunch we discover Ho Ba Ham Islet in Lan Ha Bay which borders the Gulf of Tonkin. Our local guide will take you on a tour of the local community, Van Gia fishing village and lagoons. 16:00 Back on board The Paloma, take time to refresh and relax. Disembark and visit Surprise Cave located on Bo Hon Island. It is one of the widest grottoes in Ha Long Bay with thousands of stalactites and stalagmites. 10:00 am Back on board. Take time to refresh and relax before checking out. Bags can be left in the luggage store. An early lunch is served. 12 noon Return to the shore and disembark from The Paloma as our crew say farewell. Transfer to minibus or private car and return to Hanoi. Arrival back at your hotel approximately 16:30/17:00
